You probably already know how you can create an Apple ID, which is simply an account on Apple.com website, needed to get support for Apple products.
Since you have purchased a product or support subscription from Apple.com, you probably have your credit card details stored on it. If you don’t intend to renew your service subscription or if you think that you will not buy any product from them in near future, then its a good idea to remove your credit card information from your Apple ID.
Everyday we hear about database of popular websites being hacked and credit card information of customers being stolen. So its best to remove credit card information stored on websites like Apple.com.
Deleting Credit Card Information From Your Apple ID
Go to store.apple.com. Then go to ‘Account > Account Information’. Log in with your Apple ID details. Now select ‘Method of Payment’ option, and delete your credit card number from the ‘Card Number’ box. Save the options to remove the credit card information from Apple.com.
You can also remove the credit card details from your Apple ID via iTunes. To do this, start iTunes, click on your email address in the top right corner, and select ‘Account’ from the drop down menu.
On your Account Page, click on edit link for ‘Payment Type’. On payment edit page, click on None and then click on Done.
