A few months back I published a way to download full standalone offline installer for Google Chrome. This is useful for people who are on a slow internet connection. Now that Google Chrome 3 is released, its time to grab an offline installer for it.
Claimed to be at least 25% faster (in executing javascript) then the older versions, Google Chrome 3 supports HTML5. This means that it supports <canvas>, <audio> and <video> tags, so that now you can embed video and audio without knowing anything about flash. Check youtube’s HTML5 page or this page for a preview of these tags.
Another new addition is the Themes. You can enable any of the 28 available themes without even restarting the browser.
You can download full offline standalone setup for Google Chrome 3 from here. If you already have Google Chrome installed on your system, you can still run the setup and it will simply update the older version to the latest one.
Now that Google Chrome 3 is out with many new features, as described above, other browsers will also come with enhancements, especially speed boost. Let me know which browser you prefer, and why, what features would you like in your favorite browser, using the comments form below.
Enjoy!
