I recently downloaded a tool that requires windows media player 11. But I am not sure what version of windows media player I have. how do I find it?

Its really easy to find the windows media player version. Start windows media player, click on About > Help. If you don’t see any menu on the top of windows media player (which is normal with newer versions), then press ALT+H, click on Help > About.
You can see the windows media player version in the about window.
