Whenever you open a pdf file, it takes about 10-15 seconds before the adobe reader opens the pdf file. Sometimes it gets very irritating. Here’s a trick that’ll make adobe reader as fast as notepad-
1. First close adobe reader if it is open.
2. Now go to the installation folder of adobe reader
(C:\program files\adobe\acrobat\reader\.. whatever)
3. Move all the files and folders from the “plugins” directory to the “Optional” directory(Move means cut and paste the files and NOT copy and paste).
That’s it. Now just double click a pdf file and see the magic.

thanx….its great….
Good one. But it recreated the folders on next program launch. Guess moving only .api files is enough…
Great bro! That works like magic!
@Shrinidhi
Actually it recreated the folder because the pdf file that you opened required those plugins. It will work fine for all pdf files except a few where it recreates the plugins.

Nice.
Thanks for info.
If i use this trick i am unable to find or search any text in opened PDF file…
@ D. Chotu
This is because the search is also implemented as a plugin in adobe reader, so when you remove “all” the plugins, you remove search as well.
