My main concern right now is to make online purchase for my boutique…I got my paypal verified few months back but I am still unable to get my SBI Visa Verified Gold card verified by paypal to make purchases online. This is very frustrating. Right now I can’t afford credit card because in order to get CC I have to open fixed deposit account in SBI for which I will receive 90% of the money deposited as credit but again I have to return the money back within 45 grace period so that would mean double the amount and sadly I just have the right amount to make my first necessary purchase for my small boutique (I am a first time retailer).
There are few sites (which are more expensive) that accepts visa verified debit card but I need greater flexibility because almost all the seller sites I am looking at accepts only paypal…

Thanks for the information Sonia. I hope that paypal resolves this issue soon to help the charities in India. Until then, I suggest to all our readers to make sure they support a type of account you are applying for, before spending any time and money on the process.

A new fact about Pay Pal :

I applied for a charity account with Pay pal because its free and supported by vbulletin software for payment subscription, I have all the documents like NGO Registration certificate, Memorandum of Society, Society PAN card, and the Bank details , bank details were verified by the Pay Pal by depositing amount of Rs. 2 and 40 paisa, after submitting all the document as per said in their website and in their emails, they denied me for the account, just because they have no tie-up with India regarding charity account, what the hell is this, why the pay pal people should not mention at the time sign up process. I have wasted around 1000/- rs in doing fax to pay pal and after 4-5 days they denied.

Don’t apply for a charity account with pay pal if you are living in India. Just wastage of time and money.

I tried it and am waiting to receive the two small deposits, but I can’t find where to enter the transaction details in my paypal account. I got a mail from paypal telling me to click “Confirm bank account on the Account Overview page”.
I can’t find it. Please help.
