I recently installed Kaspersky Antivirus on one of my computer and suddenly all the video streaming sites like youtube, vimeo etc. stopped working. The video page would open and then freeze, but video will not start to buffer.
I disabled the antivirus and opened a youtube video page again, just to make sure. And this time it worked perfectly. Thus the culprit was Kaspersky Antivirus.
Now, I can’t just disable the antivirus as it will leave my computer vulnerable. The only option is to find a way to make the video streaming work without disabling the kaspersky antivirus. Luckily, there is a solution (which I found after wasting a lot of time).
If you are facing the same problem, then here’s the solution,
Open the Kaspersky Antivirus settings window, and select Web Antivirus, under the Protection. Select Configure and click on the customize button. In the customize window, under the General Tab, click on Use Streaming Scan. That’s it. Now restart your computer and everything should work just fine.
