After Gmail allowed us to customize the look and feel of our inbox, its time for firefox. Mozilla Labs has just released Personas for firefox.

What is a Persona?
Personas is just a fancy name for “skins” for firefox. According to mozilla labs,
Personas are free, easy-to-install skins for Firefox that make changing the look of the browser as easy as changing your shirt.
Getting started with Personas
First install Personas add-on for Firefox. After installation, you’ll see a small fox icon in the lower left corner of your browser, which means that your browser is now persona ready.
To change the persona, simply click on this fox icon and choose your favourite one. Another way to do this is to visit the Personas website and click on your choice, it will be installed instantly on your browser.

Choose You Favourite From Hundreds of Personas
Here’s a video introduction to firefox personas from Mozilla Labs-
Note 1 - Technically speaking, there is a difference between personas and firefox skins/themes. Personas change only the top and bottom area of the firefox. These are very lightweight and can be changed easily without any installations. Firefox themes, on the other hand, are firefox add-ons, which change the look and feel of the browser completely. It even changes the navigation menus, buttons etc. Also, you have to install these themes to use them.
Note 2 - You can also create your own personas. Visit Personas Submission Page for more information.
